The Wiki Loves Monuments competition is an annual international photographic competition held during the month of September organised worldwide by Wikipedia community members. 

To participate you need take pictures of local historical monuments and heritage sites, and then upload them to Wikimedia Commons. Highlighting the heritage sites of the participating countries the competition aims to encourage people to capture pictures of these monuments, and to put them under a free licence which can then be re-used everywhere and by everyone.

Pictures of Pitzhanger monuments are also eligible for the competition! Check out which ones below:

Judging entries on technical quality, originality, potential usefulness, and overall value you can earn up to £250 for the best image in the UK! Find out more about the different prize categories here
