We will be exploring all things football through the lens of artists, creators and academics as Pitzhanger brings the cultural worlds of art and football together in a fascinating panel discussion. With extended access to Pitzhanger’s historic manor and contemporary gallery, this unique event is perfect for both sports fans and culture enthusiasts.

Three Lions and a Unicorn: Penalty Taking, Belonging, and the England Football Teams Panel Discussion

Join Artist Matt Small, Art Critic Orit Gat, and Psychological Scientist Robert Vaughan, for a discussion on art, football, and science. They will explore what football has meant to people around the world for centuries, the immense psychological pressures faced by the England football team, and how these challenges have shaped their resilience and strength. £12 General Admission/£10 Members

About Thursday Lates

Join us on the first Thursday of every month as Pitzhanger Manor & Gallery stays open until 8pm, offering an after-hours experience filled with art, history, and culture. Explore contemporary exhibitions and the historic manor at your leisure, take part in engaging workshops and activities, or simply relax with refreshments from our on-site café/bar.

Each Thursday Late features a unique theme, with opportunities to join talks and premium programmes led by artists and special guests (separately ticketed). A wide range of activities and workshops are also included in general admission, creating something for everyone to enjoy.
