Join us for our Thursday evening talk, For Your Freedom and Ours: Polish Air Force in the West, by Richard Kornicki.
The talk covers the role of the Polish Air Force in the defence successively of Poland, France, and Britain from 1939 to 1945, with a particular focus on the extraordinary achievements of the 303 (Polish) Squadron flying from RAF Northolt during the Battle of Britain.
Richard Kornicki is the Chairman of the Polish Air Force Memorial Committee and the Representative Deputy Lieutenant for Ealing. He will illustrate the talk with archival and personal photographs of his late father, Franciszek Kornicki, the last surviving Polish fighter squadron commander from the Second World War.
