Cure your back-to-school blues with some art at Pitzhanger!
Please note that our art workshops and storytelling sessions are drop-in events and are not intended to be registered art classes. These sessions tend to be very busy at the beginning, so arriving later on will result in less crowding.
Rattles & Hums Music Workshop with Kjell Zillen
Kjell from Rattles & Hums will be leading two music sessions for families. Get set for a musical adventure that will have your little ones singing, playing and bopping along to some very catchy beats. From classic, much-loved nursery rhymes to modern children’s songs with interactive elements, expect tunes about pirates, a hungry boa constrictor, sleeping bunnies and more.
Block Printing Bookmarks with Neera Sehgal
Join us for a fun blockprinting session where you will hand print a pair of your own book marks to take away with you. Indian woodblock printing is a therapeutic creative activity, suitable for all ages. There will be a range of fun interesting blocks to choose from, we will be printing with water based acrylic inks, all materials will be provided.

Pitzhanger Manor & Gallery presents a special Open Sunday for Open House Festival 2023. The festival is led by a community of Londoners who, for the duration of the festival, open up buildings they own, work or care for free so that visitors can explore.
Storytelling Tour with Sarah Richardson:
Drop in for Sarah Richardson’s storytelling tour! The tour will be 30-45 minutes in length, and there are two time slots:
Drop-in Family Workshop with Tamira Kitchens
In this workshop you’ll be designing your dream houses, taking inspiration from Sir Anthony Caro and other architects to think about what to put into your design and sketching it up. Then you will be building a small cross sectional model of your design which you can bring home with you! You can design your entire house, or just choose one room to focus on in your model.

Come into Pitzhanger on the weekend of the Ealing Half Marathon! Whether you’re out to watch, cheer, or even run in the race, all are welcome in this drop-in family workshop with artist Judy Preece.
