Open Sundays: May

Overview

Come to our May Open Sundays and celebrate the coronation of King Charles III.

Please note that our art workshops and storytelling sessions are drop-in events and are not intended to be registered art classes. These sessions tend to be very busy at the beginning, so arriving later on will result in less crowding.

7 May: Music Workshop & Coronation Crowns

Celebrate the coronation of King Charles III with family events at Pitzhanger! Kjell from Rattles & Hums will be leading two music sessions for families. Get set for a musical adventure that will have your little ones singing, playing and bopping along to some very catchy beats. From classic, much-loved nursery rhymes to modern children’s songs with interactive elements, expect tunes about pirates, a hungry boa constrictor, sleeping bunnies and more.

Meanwhile, artist Lucia Ferguson will lead a drop-in workshop where you can decorate your own coronation crowns!

There will be two repeat performances of the music session, with the first from 10:30am – 11:15am and the second from 11:45am – 12:30am.

14 May: Block Printing

Use ink block printing to design and make your own creative cards with artist Neera Sehgal.

21 May: Snake Spiral Mobiles

Make and decorate snake-shaped spiral mobiles in this art activity with artist Judy Preece.

28 May: Nature Prints

Create your own nature-inspired prints with artist Lucia Ferguson.

Please note

  • This is a drop-in event with free access to Pitzhanger Manor & Gallery from 10.00 am to 12.30 pm. The art workshops and performances begin at 10.30 am.
