Pride Month Storytelling with Niall Moorjani

Kick off Pride Month at Pitzhanger with some amazing stories for families celebrating themes of inclusion, hope, joy, and kindness.

Niall Moorjani is an award winning and critically acclaimed Scottish-Indian, non-binary and neurodiverse writer, storyteller and theatre maker based between Edinburgh and London. They create for both children and adults, but at the core of all their work are themes of hope, joy and kindness. Niall has performed all over the world, to audiences in packed theatres, empty libraries, confused bus groups, random passers by and to their dogs.

Draw and Tell Stories with Sol Golden Sato

In this fun and engaging workshop, children’s love of stories and drawing are combined to celebrate the child’s joy of imagination.

Artist Sol Golden Sato will creatively engage the children and parents to build a story world of pictures, words and sounds to create amazing stories.

16 June

Playful Plantlife Drawing Workshop with Johanna Tagada Hoffbeck

Join artist and The Gardening Drawing Club’s founder Johanna Tagada Hoffbeck for a soft drawing session focusing on movement and plants. Through playful repetition, pace and movements, the children and parents in this session will be invited to follow the lines they will draw using a variety of coloured pencils and feel the calming and confident feeling that emerges from such repetition. Plants freshly cut by the artist in the lush garden of Pitzhanger Manor & Gallery will be the subjects of the drawing.

Katka, a graduate of the Bartlett School of Architecture, works at the intersection of fine art, documentary film, history of architecture, philosophy and art theory to challenge the nature of beauty and spirituality in popular belief. She often uses poetry, sound and musical elements to contextualise her research enquiry across the media of moving image, collage and photography.

About Open Sundays

Open Sundays is our vibrant family programme held every Sunday morning. These sessions offer a variety of drop-in art workshops, with artists and themes changing weekly to provide a fresh and engaging experience each visit. We enhance our lineup on the first Sunday of every month with interactive sessions that might include anything from storytelling performances to yoga sessions for families.

Entry to Open Sundays is included with general admission. Coinciding with our free visiting hours for Ealing residents, families from the London Borough of Ealing can enjoy these activities at no cost upon presenting proof of address. Children outside the borough are also welcome to join for free when accompanied by a paying adult. Join us to explore the manor and its exhibitions while engaging in creative family fun. Advance booking recommended.
