About this event

Join us for the first Sunday of each month for special tours, workshops and creative activities inspired by Pitzhanger and our exhibitions, including storytelling and children’s trails.

Storytelling – Wintry Tales with Judy Preece

Come in from the cold and join storyteller Judy Preece as she refashions the traditional tales Three Billy Goats Gruff and Goldilocks and the Three Bears with a wintry spin. The stories will be brought to life with puppetry, scenery, and evocative storytelling, reflecting on winter and the changing of the seasons. There will be two repeat performances of Wintry Tales; one at 10:30am and a second at 12pm.

Judy originally trained with Gerry Anderson, creator of Thunderbirds, and Jim Henson from The Muppets. She worked in film and TV until setting up Fabulous Fables. She performs her stories for numerous organisations including The Natural History Museum, The V&A, Kew Gardens, and the London Museum of Steam and Water.

Art Activity

Celebrate the holidays in this morning workshop that will allow you to design, create and decorate your own handmade clay Christmas tree ornaments to hang up this season. The session will be facilitated by artist and teacher Catherine Walker. This is a drop-in activity that you can access at any time throughout the duration of the event.

Children’s trails available in the Manor for visitors 5+ including Imagined Spaces, our new Spotters’ Trail, Architect’s Apprentice and Plants at Pitzhanger. Collect a reward from the front desk after completing yours!
