The Year of the Dragon will be kicking off on 10 February 2024! Cantonese Tell-a-tale, a local Ealing storytelling club, is delighted to present an intriguing series of activities designed to immerse you in the captivating traditions of the Lunar New Year. Join us on the first day of the Lunar New Year as we share mesmerising tales in both Cantonese (a Chinese language widely spoken in Hong Kong and Macau) and English, unraveling the fascinating stories behind the 12 Chinese Zodiacs!
Our celebration goes beyond storytelling – step into the Education Room for engaging craft-making activities. After indulging in “The Story of the 12 Chinese Zodiacs”, families are warmly invited to participate and create the symbolic creature of the year – the Dragon!
Embark on an immersive journey with us, where cultural richness, storytelling magic, and the joy of creative expression come together. Let’s celebrate the Lunar New Year together!

Cantonese Tell-a-tale is an initiative sparked by a group of Ealing’s mothers, driven by the desire to instill a strong connection to Cantonese for the next generation. Our mission is to offer valuable opportunities for the children in our community to learn and speak Cantonese with enthusiasm through stories spoken in Cantonese.
Play and explore this December with Mini Makers! Get creative in the colder months through an exploratory play session led by artist Lewis McVey.
