Printmaking at Pitzhanger
Take inspiration from Pitzhanger Manor & Gallery’s striking Rana Begum exhibition and channel it into creating patterned, geometric linocuts. Tutored by a local printmaker, you’ll make visually bold artworks full of rhythm and energy.
In common with Rana Begum RA, linocut artists have often drawn from the modern urban landscape. This technique will also enable you to blur the boundaries between painting and design and embrace abstract picture-making.
You’ll also be able to see the Dappled Light exhibition for free before the classes start and use it as a springboard to explore contemporary art practice.
Printmaking materials are provided and you are encouraged to bring your own sketches and designs.
This is a two-part workshop. You must be able to attend both sessions to book.
