Inua Ellams is an internationally acclaimed poet, playwright and performer. His plays include Barber Shop Chronicles (National Theatre, Roundhouse and BAM Brooklyn) and Three Sisters (National Theatre). Ellams will adapt his popular Rhythm And Poetry (R.A.P.) Party event series for our exhibition Hogarth: London Voices, London Lives – hip-hop inspired poems and favourite hip-hop songs. This event also follows the publication in October 2020 of The Actual a new book of poems in which Inua Ellams is described as ‘making 2020’s rage poetic’. This evening event of poetry and music has been rescheduled as a livestream event from Pitzhanger.
