Pitzhanger Manor & Gallery is proud to partner with The Ealing Book Festival for its launch event generously supported by Savills. Calling all young detectives and artists! Join author and illustrator duo Judith Eagle and Kim Geyer for an event to introduce their latest middle-grade novel, The Stolen Songbird. Journey back to 1950s London, where Caro Monday and her friends have become embroiled in a dangerous art heist. After this event, visit the Stolen Songbird trail! Solve clues and find the hidden painting as you explore the Manor, just like Caro!

About Judith Eagle

Judith Eagle’s career thus far has included stints as a stylist, fashion editor and features writer. She currently works in two secondary schools as a librarian and library assistant and is the author of The Secret Starling, The Pear Affair, The Accidental Stowaway and The Stolen Songbird.

About Kim Geyer

Kim Geyer studied textile design before taking up children’s book illustration. She lives in London with lots of pets and kids – her biggest inspiration. Kim is the illustrator of The Secret Starling, The Pear Affair, The Accidental Stowaway and The Stolen Songbird.

Note

  • This is a first come first served drop-in event with access to Pitzhanger Manor & Gallery from 3.30pm.
  • The workshop will begin at 4pm and finish at 5pm. After which you will be free to explore the manor and gallery
  • There is no advance booking for this event, arrive promptly to avoid disappointment
