Join artist and story-teller Narvir Singh for a creative workshop focusing on identity and personal heritage. Narvir will work with participants to reflect on their personal stories of identity and create a poem which can be shared at the end of this friendly session. No prior experience of writing or poetry is needed to participate.
Narvir Singh is an Ealing-based artist specialising in photography, cinematography, and art direction. His work focuses on natural storytelling, emotional empowerment, and the transformation of the abstract into concrete, aiming to foster a sense of oneness. With a strong emphasis on Punjab’s influence on Southall, West London, Narvir’s art has been exhibited at the BFI, Somerset House and the Barbican and his work is in the National Portrait Gallery Collection.
The aim of Ealing Book Festival is to celebrate the joy of reading and to advance engagement and education around literature and reading. Through our events we hope to bring people and communities together; inspire and develop writers of all ages; showcase well-known authors and promote local writers, and grow book-loving audiences. The Festival team is Catherine Jaquiss, Alex Gerlis, Anne Elletson, Tanya Burgess, Nadine Thompson, Jeff Highfield, Ian Burge, Emma Walker and Natalie Arestis.
