Following her inspiring series on BBC Radio 4, award-winning journalist and author Marina Cantacuzino explores the complex subject of ‘forgiveness’ and shares some extraordinary stories of people whose lives have been shattered by violence, tragedy and injustice and who are learning to forgive, reconcile and move on.
In 2003, in response to the imminent invasion of Iraq, Marina embarked on a personal project collecting stories of people who had lived through violence, tragedy or injustice and sought forgiveness rather than revenge. As a result, she founded The Forgiveness Project, a charity that works with the real stories of victims and perpetrators of crime and violence to explore how ideas
The aim of Ealing Book Festival is to celebrate the joy of reading and to advance engagement and education around literature and reading. Through our events we hope to bring people and communities together; inspire and develop writers of all ages; showcase well-known authors and promote local writers, and grow book-loving audiences.
