The Booker prize-winning author of ‘The Luminaries’, talks about her dazzling new psychological thriller. One of the most acclaimed novels of 2023, it explores some of the key themes of the 21st century from land-grabbing and climate change to surveillance, greed and corruption.
Eleanor Catton is a New Zealand author and screenwriter. Her previous books include ‘The Luminaries’ which won the 2013 Man Booker Prize.
The aim of Ealing Book Festival is to celebrate the joy of reading and to advance engagement and education around literature and reading. Through our events we hope to bring people and communities together; inspire and develop writers of all ages; showcase well-known authors and promote local writers, and grow book-loving audiences.
