Come and draw with us over half term! This drop-in drawing workshop for families is suitable for all ages and abilities.
Come and practice your drawings skills with artist Lucia Ferguson in a FREE drop-in drawing workshop for families and people of all ages and abilities in Sir John Soane’s Pitzhanger Manor. Whether your family is full of seasoned artists looking to practice their technique or aspiring creatives looking to try something new, come to draw and be inspired by the architecture and design of our magnificent Georgian manor.
In this session, you will gather in Soane’s magnificent Georgian Eating Room to draw a ‘communal feast’ – we’ll ‘set the table’ with plates, cutlery and glasses drawn on long pieces of paper on the floor, being inspired by the meals that may have been eaten here at one of Soane’s grand dinner parties. Like a giant table or picnic, we will come together to make one big communal artwork.
Please note:
Lucia Ferguson is a creative educator and practising artist based in London. She works across drawing and sculpture in many mediums, including clay, plaster and fabric, and has recently completed a large-scale mural painting. Uniting the work is her interest in bringing together the real and the imagined, amalgamating observational drawing and making with playful, abstract elements, to create surreal spaces and objects.
