Harbinder Singh Birdi, partner at Hawkins\Brown Architects and principal architect for the design of Tottenham Court Road station, will describe the design and construction of what is recognised as being one of the most complex infrastructure projects currently being delivered in central London.
Harbinder will also be describing how Hawkins\Brown both restored and integrated within the station the works of five conceptual artists: Eduardo Paolozzi, Mark Wallinger, Daniel Buren, Richard Wright and Douglas Gordon. The station is known to have the greatest number of permanent in-situ art works in any underground metro station in the world.
