For children aged 7-11
Get outside this half-term break at Pitzhanger! We are excited to present Awesome Autumn, a day of creative, outdoor activities inspired by nature for young people aged 7-11. In this hands-on session with artist and arts educator Emily Hopkins, we’ll explore the change in the seasons and the flora and fauna of Walpole Park and Pitzhanger gardens. Participants may also visit Pitzhanger Manor & Gallery for a look at our new exhibition, ‘A Sense of Wonder’: The Curious Robot World of Matt Dixon! Come dressed for the weather and be ready to have fun!
The session will take place from 10am to 3pm on Thursday, 27 October with a morning and an afternoon session and a lunch break from 12-1pm. Please bring a packed lunch and get dressed for mess!

About the Artist
As an artist, Emily Hopkins (@emilyvhopkins & @anotherartclub) looks at the natural environment, how environments interact with one another and how we interact with the environment around us. The importance of materials, processes and our interactions with them is also fundamental to her practice. She works with a range of materials and techniques to create work including drawing, print, collage, wood, ceramics and textiles.
