Plan your festive visit to Pitzhanger Manor & Gallery! We have special opening hours over Christmas and New Year, and some rooms will be partially closed on select dates for private events.
For full details, visit our opening hours page.
We are approaching the last month of Matt Dixon’s ‘A Sense of Wonder’ exhibition, an exhibition ranked as one of the must-sees in London this winter. Don’t miss the last chance to see the life-size robot figures and try the beta version of Matt’s upcoming robot game.
‘A Sense of Wonder’ is an exhibition for the whole family. We offer free admission every Saturday for kids under 16. They can visit Pitzhanger Manor & Gallery for free with a paying adult or member.
We also have more admission discounts and concessions. Read more on our Tickets page.
Join us on the last Thursday in January for our Pitzhanger Late with a talk by contemporary artist Janette Parris to celebrate the art of digital illustration.
Janette Parris is a renowned digital illustrator who uses drawing, animation and performance to reflect a dry and self-effacing look at the world, capturing the humorous essence of life and the sharp melancholic edge that goes with it. Her works were exhibited at Tate, the Royal Academy of Arts, and the Institute of Contemporary Arts. Hear from Parris as she reveals the stories behind her drawings and animations.
Matt Dixon will be back at Pitzhanger for another artist talk in February. He will bring Applied Arts’ Senior Artist Mark Stirling with him and reveal the magic behind translating Matt’s illustrations into life-size robot figures in the exhibition.
Find out about the different phases of the collaborative fabrication process, how Mark interpreted subtle cues in the robot’s poses in 3D and the difference between the virtual 3D of Matt’s video game design and the physical forms.
We received enthusiastic entries to the ‘A Sense of Wonder’ Comic Competition. They are now with Matt Dixon, and he is working hard to pick the winning comics. We will announce the winners and put their works on display at Pitzhanger Gallery from 2 February!
‘A Sense of Wonder’: The Curious Robot World of Matt Dixon opens every Wednesday to Sunday at Pitzhanger Manor & Gallery until 12 February. Come and interact with life-size robot figures, lenticular prints, augmented-reality features and more before it closes.
We offer free admission to everyone every Wednesday and Ealing resident every Sunday morning. And don’t forget to check out the items on sale at our shop in January! See you soon!
