Sunday 2 April

Open Sunday: Hello Spring! with Tyan Jones & Ola Hincapié

Welcome the arrival of spring in a fun and interactive way, and unleash your kids’ imagination through storytelling, rhymes, singing, dancing, and signing.

Tyan Jones, an experienced actress, writer, vocalist, and teacher, will lead the storytelling sessions, bringing her skills and expertise to engage and entertain the children. Ola Hincapié will host an art workshop. They are skilled at engaging participants in fun and interactive activities, making them an ideal candidate to lead a children’s art workshop that fosters creativity.

The events will allow children to explore their interests and talents while promoting social and emotional development through interaction. The whole family will have a fantastic time participating in this event!

Wednesday 5 April

Rattles & Hums Music Workshop with Kjell

It is a musical adventure designed for babies and toddlers aged 12 months to 5 years, featuring classic and modern children’s songs with interactive elements.

This drop-in event has free access to Pitzhanger Manor, making it an easy and accessible option for families. The event includes drumming, shaking, and even using a parachute and live music from acoustic instruments such as a guitar, djembe, and a tiny steel drum. Kjell will encourage the building of social skills in children and the opportunity for parents to connect with their little ones in a fun and engaging way.

Cardboard Sculpture Workshop with Lucia Ferguson

A drop-in art workshop suitable for all ages and abilities, this workshop provides an opportunity for families to create and be inspired by the fantastic sculptures of Anthony Caro.

Participants will gather in the Gallery, where they will see the latest exhibition and be guided by artist Lucia Ferguson in making their own miniature cardboard sculptures. Lucia is a creative educator and practising artist who works across drawing and sculpture in many mediums. Participants will be able to learn from her.

Friday 7 April

Mini Makers — Special Holiday Edition with Antoine Genevier

For one day only, artist and educator Antoine Genevier will facilitate art stations for children aged 6 months to 7 years. The session allows young children to build their confidence, creativity and fine motor skills while getting messy and having fun.

The ticket includes free access to Pitzhanger Manor & Gallery, a free babyccino, and discounted coffee and cake at Pitzhanger Pantry near the Walpole Park playground.

Open Sunday: Art Workshop with Judy Preece

We are excited to have Judy Preece, a renowned storyteller and puppeteer from Fabulous Fables, as our host for a drop-in art workshop. With over twelve years of experience providing shows for prestigious venues like The Natural History Museum and The V&A, Judy’s passion for storytelling and the arts will inspire and guide participants of all ages in creating their own Easter-themed art pieces.

Easter Holiday Club with Lauren Veevers

Children will learn to make giant puppets and explore visual storytelling through animation, puppetry, and character design with artist and arts educator Lauren Veevers. They can show off their creations and interact with other participants in this exciting holiday club! You can sign up for one or both days. Each day offers different activities, providing a varied experience for those attending both days.

Assemble Play

Assemble Play is back! Don’t miss the opportunity to engage in creative outdoor play with various materials, including giant blocks, colourful fabrics, and more. Assemble Play is a specialist child-led project that provides a safe and stimulating environment where families can support their children to play freely and explore their own creativity.
