Discover August’s activities at Pitzhanger: Creative clubs, art, dance, theatre, play, and inspiring exhibitions.

August at Pitzhanger Manor & Gallery is brimming with exciting activities and exhibitions for all ages. The month’s highlight is our annual Creative Summer Holiday Club, a vibrant and engaging programme for children aged 7–11. From 5 to 9 August, young participants will explore sustainability through upcycling, with daily themes ranging from nature-inspired patchworking to storytelling through printmaking.

In addition to the Holiday Club, we offer a range of enriching experiences. The Mini Makers sessions on 2 and 30 August invite children aged 1–8 to unleash their creativity with hands-on art-making. Our SpiralDance Movement Sessions, held every Friday in August, provide an opportunity for adults to connect with nature through dance. Families can also enjoy the imaginative landscapes created during Assemble Play on 17–18 August. Meanwhile, theatre lovers can revel in the classic comedy of Much Ado About Nothing during our Shakespeare in the Park performances from 23–26 August. For book enthusiasts, Bill Wyman’s talk at the Ealing Book Festival on 29 August is a must-attend event.

Our exhibitions continue to inspire, with Antoni Malinowski and Helene Binet’s new show opening on 7 August, and Grayson Perry’s acclaimed The Vanity of Small Differences on display throughout the month.
